Biography
Katharine Meeding is a Cape Town based artist who works mainly with oil paint and watercolour. She loves to travel, is an avid reader and through these integral parts of her life she’s able to collect words, images, ideas and rituals. This collection of sights and thoughts are combined into collages and dissected by drawing and painting watercolours. After a lengthy post-mortem procedure she alchemically creates personal metaphors and narratives. The whole experience is documented in her personal books, which serves as an integral part in the creation of her final oil paintings.
