NATHANI LÜNEBURG
VIDEO ARTIST | ANIMATOR | ACADEMIC
Nathani Lüneburg is a full-time lecturer in Visual Arts and Multimedia at UNISA, specialising in video art and stop-frame animation, and is currently busy completing her DPhil degree in Fine Arts.
Locally, she has participated in more than 50 national curated art exhibitions with established national artists at various galleries, universities and art festivals around the country. Her work has also been exhibited in Prague, Senegal, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, New York, and Australia.
Her artworks are in the collections of the Monansh University Melbourne, the National Gallery of Prague, the VIDEOHOLICA Video Art Archive in Budapest, the Unisa Art Collection in South Africa and several private collections in South Korea, Australia, London and South Africa. She has been a top ten finalist at the prestigious Absa L’Atelier Art Awards in 2004, and the winner of a Merit Award in 2006. Furthermore she has been a finalist in Sasol New Signatures from 2004 – 2008. This year, she won the KANNA award for best Visual Arts exhibition at KKNK.
